We ordered baby's furniture a couple weeks ago. It should be here in another decade or so. (Baby Depot/Burlington Coat Factory is not the most customer friendly place to buy baby items)
So baby will have much nicer bedroom furniture than me. Is it wrong that I am jealous? He/she will spend the nights in a beautiful pine sleigh crib surrounded by soft pastel blankets. He/she will look out from the beautifully detailed milled rails of his/her sleigh crib to see a matching armoire full of books and stuffed things that are already being collected by grandmothers and godparents.
Baby will bask in luxury at each diaper change on his/her matching pine sleigh changing table.
In my bedroom, I have crap hand-me-downs from Tom's parents. Where is the justice here?
;) Sheesh.

Today it feel like there is a fish out of water flopping around in my stomach. SO weird.
<"}}}><
The question is... is it a boy fish, or a girl fish?

Unless baby got Tom's hair genes, I find this hard to believe...
"Welcome to your second trimester! Your baby is no longer a baldy! He's sprouting his first locks. Whether they're jet black, cocoa brown, golden blond, or fiery red, curly or straight, will remain a secret until the day he's born. Of course, family genes offer some clues, but many parents have been surprised on labor day. Fine body hair called lanugo, which usually disappears later in pregnancy, blankets his body now too. Your own hair may also be more lustrous. Many women say thicker, fuller hair is one of the nicest perks of pregnancy. Enjoy it while you can."

Today I found this: And I am STILL laughing...

I've never been a math wiz. There are many who can attest to that. But I DO know that 14 weeks does NOT equal four months. But apparently in pregnancy it does. (please reference "What to Expect When You're Expecting".) It's so confusing... first you are automatically 2 weeks pregnant when you first conceive (whaaaa?) and then I pick up another 2 weeks here in the "4th" month? I just don't get it. But whatever, pregnancy mathematics makes it seem like the time is going by faster so it can only be a good thing.

Step right up one and all. Place your bets. In just 5 short weeks, if we are lucky, baby Graff will show us what he/she is. I sure hope I am carrying a little exhibitionist. Tune in after October 27th for complete details!
Vote early and often to... erin@azzamjordan.com
Will we find out that it's:
a) A girl
b) A boy
c) shy

So I have this here unmistakable tummy thing going on. It's fun to poke at. I can't wait until I can use it as a mug-rest for my morning coffee. There is a new heartbeat posted on my website... Go listen!

Long time, no post.
Still throwing up. Wahoo! Today I am 12 weeks, 2 days. Supposedly it will end soon. I'll believe it when it happens.
May or may not have felt the baby move a few nights ago. It was sort of this little bubble pop feeling on my left side (where we always find the heartbeat). Interesting.
My books tell me that baby is about 2.5 inches long now. That's about the size of my index finger, or two cocktail weenies lined up end-to-end. :)
Weeee!!

My positive thought for the day: Since I'm getting sick all the time now (since last Friday), my appetite has decreased to the point where I'm now eating almost normally again. So hopefully, by the next doctor's appointment, I will have lost a few of the 8 pounds that I gained in the last three months... or at the very least, not gained any MORE. Yay. :)

I had a very disappointing moment this morning when I looked at my calendar and realized I am only going on 11 weeks pregnant. For some reason, all weekend, I thought I was going on 12 weeks. Ugh.
This is all taking much longer than it used to seem when I watched other people go through it. Hrmph.
