On Waiting to Tell...

For those of you just tuning into this most recent pregnancy adventure, I have known I was pregnant since I was 3 weeks, four days along. That's almost four whole weeks! We of course, told Tom's parents and my parents within ten minutes of seeing two lines on the stick. We figured it was best that they know... they all like to worry and figured they'd be annoyed if they missed out on the weeks of worry leading up to seeing the heartbeat (today). They were all very good about keeping quiet with us. So, yeah, anyway, this whole baby thing is old news for all of them, though everyone was happy to hear that things look good!

Other than that? I really have mostly kept my mouth shut. I told a few internet friends, my best friend, maybe two other friends, and my neighbor... (okay, so a FEW people) I knew most of those people would keep this the baby and me in their prayers because they were all aware of the incredibly crappy year we've had with the last two pregnancies... the back to back bad news and the months of testing and waiting....

Is it really any wonder I was ready to burst today after the ultrasound?! (and not just from the full bladder) I had originally wanted to hold out until 9-10 weeks, but it just wasn't going to happen.... especially since my clothes are starting to look and feel a little ridiculous.

How do some people wait until the end of the first trimester or longer?!

Comments:
It was very hard to wait, but I helt out until 10 weeks, it had something to do with the fact that my first m/c was at 9 weeks+. :) But that is great about the heartbeat! What did you decide about the doctor?

I'll be making an appointment with a new one as soon as I talk to my gyn today about it when she calls about yesterday's ultrasound.

Waiting until 13 - 14 weeks was so hard...especially when everyone thinks you are just getting FAT. LOL! But, same here that after the first m/c happening at 10 weeks I felt like the end of the trimester was my "safe zone".

Are you coming out on your other blog soon? You've been dropping some MAJOR hints over there so I was just wondering. LOL!

Sometime later today... I'm trying to get a picture of Ben in his big brother shirt. :)

I couldn't wait that long. I was puking so much I had to say something. The lady in the grocery store watching me wretch in the juice isle kinda tipped me off. I had to say. :-)

Yeah, I was way lame. I told everyone I knew as soon as I got my first blood test back, just because I am incapable of keeping my own secrets from anyone. Other's secrets, yes; my own secrets, hells no.

I was sure you would "come out" on TOBH yesterday after the ultrasound. Though anyone with half a brain would put two-and-two together, what with your insomnia, your ranting about brussel sprouts, and the mysterious "doctor's appointments" that creep up now.
