If It's a Girl, She Has a Name!
**update** Found a version of that site I was looking for. It's not the same one I used to use, but similar enough!
Tom and I FINALLY narrowed down our girl name choices to one we both love. I'm actually pretty surprised at the one we have decided on because it's not even close to a) Benjamin's girl name (Madeline) or our next-in-line girl name that I had to nix after that littlegirl terror at Gymboree ruined it for me. (still keeping it quiet just in case we have a last-minute change of heart).
Like our boy name, I imagine it's one people will initially crinkle their noses at but it will grow on them eventually. I'm pleased that we found one we liked that isn't insanely trendy yet... the SSA has it only in the top 500'ish. If this were 1911 though, I'd have to rethink it, since at that point it was among the top 200! ;) Those are your only hints! I'm sure some of you will have fun with that. :)
I do have one or two lingering concerns about the name and I'm looking for a website I found once when I was pregnant with Ben. You could search for names and it would show you a page with comments from people who actually have that name... what they like and don't like about it, nicknames they were given, ways people used the name to tease them... etc. Does anyone know where I might find that site again? I have googled and googled and just can't find it.
Anyway, goes to show you, it's always good to keep an open mind... I'm so glad I revisited the baby name book when I first got pregnant. I was so set on those other two names and probably never would have considered this one. :)
I'm sorry I can't elaborate. I know it's annoying. But I'm determined that it will be a surprise... This will probably be the last post on the topic just because I know it HAS to be irritating.

Dibbs on Violet and Lucy! Man, IF anything ever happens with us, do you have any idea how not knowing what your names are is going to screw with us? You're EVIL I say! Come on, IF something does happen, how about sharing with us? I won't tell!
I heart the name Lucy... but it's my neighbor's baby's name. So it's not on the list... neither is Violet. Sorry. No can share! :) I promise none of them I have ever heard you say you had on any list though... I would never steal a name that I knew you loved. :)

Oh Mrs. F... I WISH it were Emma. It's my most favorite name ever next to Grace. Emma Grace would be my ideal baby girl name if Emma weren't the freakin' #1 name out there.... that, and if it wouldn't mean my poor daughter's initials would be E.G.G.

Erin, I think the website is something like babynamer.com....And as for my guesses I'm going with Bruce or Malcolm since they're both within your 200-500 window.
