Pros... Cons...
People keep pointing out the cons of us keeping the sex of this baby a secret.
Some are valid.
For instance, if I don't do a gender neutral nursery, I'll have to keep people out of there until the baby is born.
Or, I'll get tons of yellow and green stuff. Honestly, as far as that goes? I just figured that this is my second child... I'm not expecting gifts, I don't need **anything** (with the exception of a few small replacement-type items I plan on picking up myself in the coming months) And, if it's a girl and people feel the need to get us a frilly outfit or something, they'll get it after the baby is born anyway.
And then ther is poor Yaya Joanie... she is sad because she'll have to cross-stitch a gender neutral bib. ;) See, I think she thought that was her ticket to finding out... but NOPE!
Yes, there are small logistical issues with not telling. Plus, it just might nearly kill me to keep the secret. But in the end, it will be worth it to make this second time around extra special. :) (if you think I sound like I'm trying to convince myself, you'd be at least a tiny bit right)

Again, another reason for me NOT to find out...am I really going to be able to keep the secret??
I'm still leaning to put it in an envelope and seal it tightly within another envelope (I'm talking with packing tape or duct tape) and deciding later when to find out.

You can tell me. *I* won't tell! :) Seriously, I guess I won't be able to make babytoo something...(no pressure) sigh
He he he he he
He he he he he
I just don't know how you are going to not say "he" or "she" when talking to people. I would never be able to do that.
and on the bright side, if you do accidentally tell someone in real life (where it's harder to edit), you still have us here on the Internet to surprise.
its ok. None of us really want to know anyway. Its not like its that exciting for us. We are *just* the internet. We can handle another 20 weeks of not knowing. It doesnt effect us either way.
How is that for reverse psychology...? hehehhee

Well I will tell you when I go in, so you know first, if you tell me what you are having and I wont tell a soul.. :) hehehe
The suspense is killing me too, since I have minor planning issues and really dont want him born between the 20th and 25th. Now we are nearing that, I am freaking out a little..haha I feel guilty wanting him to come in the next week so we dont have to deal with it, yet want to go closer to term..ugh..and the contrax every 12 min dont seem to mean anything but annoy me and hurt! haha

You could always start saying He in one entry and she in another and let people know your doing that so you can't mess up and tell!! :o)
If you don't do a gender neutral nursery you might have to keep Ben out of there too. That age isn't so great at keeping secrets ;o)
My pastor's son was three when he told his sunday school teacher "I'm going to have two babies at my house!" That was at Family camp and the entire church knew it was twins within the hour- before Matt and Luanne had even told their closest friends.
